Locating: Abstracting Influences.

Developing my work from last week, I started to create monotone drawings. The drawing I initially created were too literal in connection with nature.

I started to take my images and remove the colours focusing on the patterns. This abstract approach allows me to develop my drawings further.

Removing all colour helped me focus on the patterns and shapes which I can expose through the leaves and other natural forms I have photographed.
This drawing helped me realise the strong patterns and the natural flows, this can be developed by adding in colours.

This image shows the rhythm of my work. I am going to continue by looking at different aspects of nature, such as rocks, roots, and mushrooms.

I have also visited Manchester Museum, as they have a collection of rocks which expose the insides and the different patterns.
