Week Seven.

During this weeks tutorial I chose my weakest, best and a sample that could be improved and explained why.

The top sample is my weakest sample, as the fabric I used was too bold for my sensitive, delicate work. The two different patterns of the fabric and of my stitching are competing against each other, rather than working together complimenting each other. I will not continue to use this in my work as it does not match my style.

The second sample is one of my best, this is due to the stitch and layered affect created by using the multiple threads, however the composition of this piece did not work as it was just placed in the middle of the fabric. I then decided that this would be my sample I need to develop, using the same technique however developing the composition.

The last sample is my developed sample as I have used the same technique however I have created a more sensitive pattern.  I feel this works well and will develop this technique even further.
