Compositional Drawings.

This first drawing looks at composition. I arranged shoes into an order and painted out the colour into a wrapping. By extracting the colour it allowed me to create a pallet that could be developed by choosing yarns to match the colours and create a wrapping, which then could be woven into a weft to create a weave sample. I then went on to develop this initial drawing by creating these later photos. I created 4 shoes using the technique of ripping, cutting and tearing found papers which I then developed by creating 9 shoe compositions using the photocopier. I decided to have my shoes marching across the page, as I thought this look linked well with the initial colour pallet drawing. To develop this I am going to create 3 abstract collages using the colour pallet from all the drawings.
