After visiting the museum and deciding my theme of reflections and shadows I started to develop drawings.
The first drawings relate to the shadows cast from a vase, I showed this through the use of oil bars and pencil to show the contrast between the lightness of the shadows and the darkness of the object its self. The circular pattern could be developed if this pattern was layered and repeated.
The second drawing shows the pattern which is made from the light reflected off the fairy lights I think this creates an unusual rhythm which could be developed into an embroidered piece.
The final drawing relates to the artist Brooks Shane Salzwedel as his drawing use layered tracing paper to create patterns so I developed this by using acetate creating a 3D effect, which also relates to my theme of reflections and layering.
