Locating: Developing Drawings, Creating a Colour Pallet.

I was using Brusho as my main drawing media, however this created a smudged effect, which was making my patterns unclear.

I have decided I would like to create menswear pieces, as I find it more interesting to research and challenging.

I created these plain line drawing to focus on the shapes and patterns. This worked well as I am focusing on the patterns. I am going to work back into these drawings adding colour.

I made this drawing as a different way to focus and allow the pattern to stand out.
My initial colour ideas once painted out were too bright. I took my images and cut out the colours to gain a sense of different colour schemes. The colour palette I chose is simple, subtle with hints of a brighter green, and blue to add depth.

These drawings have helped me greatly, as I now understand proportion of colours, and the patterns which I would like to focus on.

Next week I am going to start to create larger wrappings and paint out colour squares to gain a sense of proportion.
