Artists Inspiration; Leutton Postle

Leutton Postle is a luxury Knitwear label by Sam Leutton and Jenny Postle, they create wearable craft led collections inspired by colours, rich pattern and texture. I feel their patterns loosely link to my current work as I have created a blocked pattern, I like the layering and textured effect; this is something I would like to develop into my knits. Their collections are a high fashion label that I feel expresses a contemporary affect. Context wise I am unsure which area to develop down, However Leutton Postle have shown me that I could create a contemporary unusual piece of knitting and still make it a wearable piece of art. This high fashion area is something I am going to look at further as I am highly inspired by this work.
