Collages and Colour Blocking.
After creating my mood board I choose three small sections of it, and only picked out the colours and the shapes. I then painted these out, I think the colours work well and creates strong contrasts in the painting. I then went on to develop this further by creating four collages relating to my theme 'perceptions' and to the mood board. The first two collages look at texture, I created texture by layering the photos on top of each other and by crumpling the drawing. The second two samples look more at composition and layout. I think the third collage with the strips of photos overlapping is an interesting idea, which I would like to develop by creating a knit sample using the techniques of colour changes and e-wrapping to make the colours in the piece overlap. I final collage is in blocked colours I would develop this into knit by using partial knit to add in the bursts of colour at the side and then e-wrapping for the solid colour going down the side of the collage.
